The suggestion has been made and toyed with about restructuring the teams. Here's the idea, mostly, that was being thrown about in chat:

Currently there are two teams .... you know what? **** that.
Here ... read it your self (Start at the bottom):

The actual point is that the hackers almost lost the week just because a few of us decided to take a different approach to the tradition

I support you fully on this. and it can be done without full reset if they just create a backup of everyones account and all the gangs. then they could seperate then add what we are suggesting to the game code. then load all of the backup profiles into the newly restructured game code. then let us choose what side we want and playing can go back to reg as normal =-)

Ok ozy for one we arent whining or complaining that we lost this last week. we are actually proposing a change in the weekly battles. making more "groups" to battle for the weekly win. each also has its own better "perk" like more firewall and extended energy.

New idea, hate me for it. Ditch the Hackers v. Netguards thing and come up with something more proactive.

Proactive in a sense that would bring back gang loyalty and challenge. Challenge in a sense that the only way one would earn points is:
-The player is active (has been on in the past 60 days) OR
-Is part of a gang that has at least one player that has been active in the past 60 days AND
-The war MUST be for more than 750 kills (if wars are set in increments now).

Awards pyramid: 3 ECs, given by the CW system itself (same as the 10 ECs to the top killer at the end of the week), to the number 1 killer. 2 ECs to second, 1 EC to third.

Having a choice would definitely create an eventual imbalance between the teams and that would ruin the wars and make them slaughters. That's a fact. The biggest 'choice' I think, that would be as close as I, personally, would let it get near this idea is:
Have there be four teams: good hackers, bad hackers, good net guards, bad net guards
Your ID chooses if you're a hacker or net guard.
You choose if you're good or bad (change the current 'chooseside.php' to a 'choose your specialty' page; studybug or fanatic or whatevers)
At this point there are three choices of how the system could work
1) Hackers get points for hacking net guards, and vice versa
2) Good players (whether hacker OR net guard) get points for hacking bad players, and vice versa
3) Good net guards get points for hacking bad hackers, and vice versa, and bad net guards get points for hacking good net guards, and vice versa (you can only get points for hacking a player who is of both opposite team AND alignment)

Another idea to 'spice up' team wars, since that's what people are looking for apparently, is to subtract 2 points if you hack someone on your own team. (this can be edited to work on conjuction with the previous 3 options for changes).

Try to invent a secondary war, leave Hackers/NetGuard war like it is, it's WORKING fine !!
Look at this week, the Netties almost did it and had fun trying .


But stop posting changes on old stuff that works , ask for more weekly/ monthly comps.
Ask for Gang Wars to be changed so we could do 2 vs 2 team wars.

4409 total players. => half are Hackers and half are NetGuards .. so Stop Whining about being a loser netguard ... and no, I didn't pay to be #1 :lol:

again now toast is following ozy dissing me. when i joined this game i had a choice of which side i wanted to join. i chose netguards. and if that system is still here then new players also get to choose which side they want to be on.Which means thnat no matter what you do if they choose 1 side over the other than their will be an imbalance. its just a fact.
