A CW app for Android/iPhone markets...

This can be A) an simple redirect to the main CW site (perhaps with an incentive of DDs or ECs...), or, B) a text only, mobile version of CW...

Either way, it could be a valuable advertising tool for CW...

as owner of a droid i endorse this idea.. it neednt be more than a mobile version of the website(just text, bleh. bigger buttons and a sleek redesign of the layout). all i need is another reason to be on my phone!!

edit, on second thought.. a free app in the android market would be a great way to get new players

i had brought this up a long time ago and they (the admins) had told me it would be a waste of resources...but i agree with the previous posts, i would love the CW app in the android market and/or the app store!

Are you guys thinking a mobi site? This would make it so that those with phones would have a specific site for their phones? (i.e. autodetect)? Or a true app?

If true application for the Android, I would DEFINITELY be interested in writing it.

i think a full on application would be bad ass but a "m.cyber-wars.com" would be nice as well

Agreed, I would like to have a m. site as well. I have been asking for one for sometime now. All the same, my blackberry seems to handle the site fairly well. My OLD blackjack, not quite so much. Getting rid of the Catchpa has really helped me play when I am on the go. My office blocks cyber-wars as a "Hacking" site, but my phone helps me get my fix while at work

As an aside to this, if you play CW on your phone, I've noticed that changing to the 'Text Only' layout is easier to run... although, I play on my 'Droid and I play the full site, it kills my battery but I get the 'fulll CW experience...

For staff that are reading this, those of us that have Android are constantly on the Android Market, for a minimum cost a huge return (in terms of potential players) is a given.

'Droid apps have a 5 star rating system, and I for one would rate it 5... the higher the rating, the more people will download the app... and let's face it, we NEED more players!

The main thing about Adroid is that its open source... not sure what/how/why you're being charged?

yeah android is basically a linux os. the registration fee is just part of the business... you know google is gonna make their money. i suppose it keeps the riff raff off the market.

I think its a great idea. I own a droid and i think its a great idea. Admins please keep this in mind.
IDK about a charge for posting it on the market but I'm sure the game would get enough players and can will mean rise in profit.(for cw AND plus more players.) Mobile idea is great but making an app is awesome!

$25, frankly, is a pitance considering the potential income (new players and ultimately financially). I've joined lots of similar sites through the Android Market and NONE of them have come close to CW.

How about... a free CW app... if people like it they can purchase a 'full' cw app for $0.99 which gives them 25 ECs... 25 players gets you're money back



I play exclusively on an Android phone, Game Rank 43... so it's possible to be active and regular whilst playing via a phone...

and hell yes. buy the app for a buck and get 25 charges/15 dd's or w/e, i still like the free option though. out of all the users its a no loss situation. oh man! this scenario, if played out correctly, paints a great picture for new users.

One thing I can assure you we are at least going to have m.site for CW
