Myckaal: Campaigning? Alright, I’ll vote. But first answer me this ....Why would you WANT to be chat-monitor? Be honest, now ....

Dan : I believe that my straight and honest opinion encourage chat to be more alive

Myckaal : Define "too far"

Dan : As in = muting?

Myckaal : As in, I know for a fact that I 'go too far' on several occasions

Dan : On a couple of occasions you have stepped over the line, but there is a difference in "name calling" and "personal"

Myckaal : I am aware. It has been intentional.

Dan : The chat to me is pretty much open minded

Myckaal : You gonna mute me for calling Anni a &@^#%$?

Dan : no …. lol

Myckaal : Good. Though, I think you should (mute me) if I call her kid something fucked up. Simply because that's no longer between me and her. It crosses that 'line'

Dan : It depends on the situation, if she throws a rock at you, you can throw it back.. Then I can come in and say, "HEY, no rock throwing"

Myckaal : Alright. What do you see as the role of CM? Considering the big "adult themes" warning

Dan : There are 3 Mutable situations

1, Porn
2, Links to other games
3, Personal attacks: calling someone a bitch isn't a personal attack, that’s called "name throwing"

Myckaal : It is insulting, though. A lot of players seem to feel that insulting someone should be a mutable offense.

Dan : This is a hacking game where it's not all about hacking, some verbal fighting in chat to protect your rep/gang I believe is a part of the game

Myckaal : As CM, odds are you're gonna be called on to deal with chat getting over the top. You know that there are gonna be situation where you'll have to mute someone you know. So of course the question becomes: How can we trust you to not play "favorites"

Dan : A mutable offense is something everybody should get muted for... Even if it’s a friend/gang member etc

Myckaal : Rules are there for a reason, huh?

Dan : To be broken?

Myckaal : Hahahaha ….. At times, absolutely.

Dan : The CM role would be another part of me (believe it or not) a more serious one.

Myckaal : What does the Riddle bring to the job? There's what will sell it.
Riddle : good … ok. let see ... I’m the creator of the CW group in FB also ... I was staff time ago and always had a great relation with everyone ... even when I "fight" with someone, it was all about the humor and the Chat. The chat is one of the funniest place in CW, and when you enter for the first time in the game and understand it

Myckaal : Without chat, I think it would be a different place …. For the worse
Riddle : and boring as hell ... so I know the CM could be a big role in this game. the people first need to understand it and know why there's an orange guy in the chat

Myckaal : Besides the need to stop Spam, of course … LOL
Riddle : yeah, but ... the staff did a good job with that ... so, now, I think the roles needs to be more specific

Myckaal: What do you think the CM is, exactly? Like what do you think the responsibilities of a CM are?
Riddle: IMO, a CM is a mix between an entertainer, a police, a seller and girl scout with something to offer I think will be more "prevention" and not so many muted

Myckaal: Try to stop the problem before anyone needs muted?
Riddle: that's right

Myckaal: So what kind of behavior is "over the line"?
Riddle: nowadays, you can insult in here and no one going to say nothing ... also, I know if hat is insulting 5iM (example), is different if I insult candy ... 'coz I know hat and 5im know each other, no like candy and I. So an "out of the line" it will be something not usual and I guess could be something related to gangs secrets, another game advertising, char rules broken, etc

Myckaal : I have a tendency to cross lines of politeness. As much as some people go out of their way to be nice, sometimes it seems I go the exact opposite. How do you deal with that kind of person …. I mean ... you want them to stay, and play
Riddle : well Myck, IM THAT KIND OF PERSON!

Myckaal : I meant the "me" kind of player. LOL
Riddle : everyone knows that I like to be funny in chat and if there's a fight in there ... everyone enjoy it! ... coz the people love the CW DRAMA!

Myckaal : I have always found that to be the odd dynamic in chat. The drama is what helps keep it rolling, but everyone acts like they hate the drama ...
Riddle : how many people do you know who show what they feel? this is the same.

Myckaal : I live in the US, Rid. The people here won't STOP talking about how they feel .... LOL
Riddle : everyone hate murders ... but if you see an accident with a body in the floor ... you going to see what happened and all that stuff

Myckaal : Ahhhh ….. Morbid fascination. You want to look away, but the scene is Sooooo gruesome ...
Riddle :the violence that could be in chat ... that is an invitation to log the conversation and that's the interesting of the chat! ... you are playing the game, doing your stuff but also you have the chat! so, a good CM, IMO have to be very subtle, need to increase the entertainment in the chat, to control it ... it's a balance; a very subtle one.

Ghostie: Well I've loved playing CW for years, I want to take part in it more, and I thought I would be a good member in staff, or in this case moderators. As I'm fair.

Myckaal: You've played for a while, too. 3 years?
Ghostie: Probably more....

Myckaal: You've done work on forums and modding, right?
Ghostie: Yep.

Myckaal: So you've obviously seen chat in all it's ugly glory
Ghostie: Yep

Myckaal: What do you define as "too much"
Ghostie: Well, when the argument or intense "discussion" goes on for too long, and they start to make it personal and completely irrelevant. Causing too much disruption to chat and the other players in there.

Myckaal: One of the obvious issues with this position is 'favoritism.' How do you plan to avoid being accused of playing nice to friends?
Ghostie: To be equal to all, regardless of if they're friends or not. Though I consider most of the people I meet on chat friends.

Myckaal: I like ya. LOL Chat has a tendency to bring out the nasty side of people, though. I'm a prime example. How would you have handled me?
Ghostie: Ummmm.... I would probably tell you to settle it another time. And to keep it down, and try not to make it too personal as to insult Anni too much. And if you didn't settle I guess I'd have to give you a warning about muting .. then if it continued I would have to mute you.

Myckaal: It occurs to me that you seem to be an unknown to a lot of the players, Odd as that is for me to understand….. Considering that unknown quality .... Where is the Ghostie from?
Ghostie: I am from Australia, Sunny Sunny Queensland. =]

Lioness: 'Cause I know I could do a good job of it, I'm in a different time zone to the other CMs and I'm in chat.. a lot.

Myckaal: Good point. And you've been with CW, as a player, for .... what? Like 4 or 5 years?
Lioness: Um.. well.. I guess around 5, yeah. I would have been around 14-15 when I started playing..

Myckaal: Nice. You know you just told everyone that you're legal, right? LOL
Lioness: And that changes their collective lack of a chance with me how? lol …. here's a better one, I knew Marky when he was twelve..

Myckaal: Being in chat a lot, I'm sure you've seen plenty of 'bad behavior.' At what point do you think it goes from game related aggression (it is a hacking game, after all) and crosses the line?
Lioness: It's hard to say really, it depends upon the relationship between the players. I mean, someone calling me a cheap cumbucket of a whore would be a lot more offensive that Marky saying it, since to me that'd be funny. I guess for an average example, I guess the warning would come around the time you accuse someone repeatedly of stealing their daughter's baby

Myckaal: I see. LOL
Lioness: And once something completely dominates chat after being asked/told to stop then it's really time to force a settlement or mute

Myckaal: So personal attacks that overtake the fun of chat
Lioness: Well.. yeah. The thing about CW chat is that there're more than a few who are arrogant or insulting for.. well.. humour. And more than a few who find it funny. There's always going to be complications between the ones who do and don't - and personal attacks cross lines more often than not

Myckaal: I seem to recall that you did a bit of mod stuff previously? Forums and such ....
Lioness: Yeah, on a place called FFNet

Myckaal: Is that good or bad?
Lioness: Well.. depends how you look at it. I was fair, but strict, because the place was out of control when I became a mod - fellow mods and users alike

Myckaal: Wow ... that sounds ... familiar .....
Lioness: Well, I'm sort of a legend on there and KH3 (a sister site) because of that. I went over to KH3 when it started up as a favour to Alex (the owner) I did a good enough job to have been made admin.. heh They still talk about it, in KH3.. I was there for 3 days (sorry my stepmother walked in there)

Myckaal: Excellent. Alright ... anything else you want the players to know about you?
Lioness: Well.. most the players know something about me. I try to help people who have problems, personal or ingame.. I don't know. I like to help xD

Light Spawn: Racial , death , Mental status something along the lines of deep cutting someone’s feelings
Myckaal: Abusive rather than playful? The problem with chat is that it's where all the shit talking is SUPPOSED to happen.
Light Spawn: Not really abusive but over abusive like taunting some one if they got rapped or mom died .....And, yeah, that is a good part of CW the Drama it keeps us playing and some paying (Not talking about Ozy)
Myckaal: You've been with CW for nearly 5 years now?
Light Spawn: Yes, I started August 18th 2005
Myckaal: So you've gotten to know a lot of the returning players, and seen a few of the new ones

Myckaal: How do you think you'll avoid favoritism? There are gonna be friends, everyone eventually needs to hush
Light Spawn: Easy I don’t really have any favorites, I mean, there are always others you will like a bit more thou like the ones that look out for you but friends and business are two different things
Myckaal: So the job is mostly like baby-sitting high school children ....
Myckaal: Have you tried this before?
Myckaal: Modding and such, I mean
Light Spawn: Actually I haven’t, I have in the past got Staff fired though
Myckaal: So this will be a learning experience for you.
Light Spawn: It’s not learning if I know what to expect. 5 years of Staff raising and falling .....I know the ropes
