How many voting options you gonna have? If you have 1 i guess Gate will get most votes, if you have 2 i guess Gate still will get most votes, so why don't give him the gold medal so there would be more votes around to decide the silver candidate....

Also, for all my opinion is worth, the 5% boundary is the one I prefer and then restrict to just 1 vote. If GK then gets over 50% he can be the winner, but it is still possible that everyone will vote for one of the other candidates and beat him, so until he gets the magic 50 (he might when only 1 vote is allowed) then knocking out the bottom runners and revoting is the only way.
