Hawaiian Bradda & Lolo Hawaiian – Bradda is the earliest number 1 I can 100% confirm, as it was a little before my time. I group these 2 together as they played the game the same way. The Hawaiians started CW at the same time and were the first to max IQ (250) which allowed them to dominate the early phases of the game. Bradda was more outspoken then Lolo, even told me I’d never make the top 100. Lolo was more reserved but would chat every once in a while. The Hawaiians achieved their status through activity and are remembered as the best players of the early CW days.
CYBERPUNK – Never seen in chat, or the forums for that matter, CP and Stargate are thought to be the cause of the Hawaiians leaving CW. CP captured the #1 spot as the original hardcore donator of cyber-wars. While CP was a staple of 2 of CWs first 3 district holders, DOS and RL, he did it with his stats and not his ability to shut players down. CYBERPUNK lost his 1 spot once or twice to Stargate briefly. He mostly reigned at #1 from 2005 until April of 2006 when he was toppled by A7Xfan. I’m sorry to say I do not recall when it was that he went inactive.
Stargate – Easily one of the most controversial CW players of all time. Star was widely hated by most. It’s not just that he donated, it was his attitude going along with that. Star was a staff member, as well as an admin at one point, and he enjoyed using his powers however he saw fit. Star quit well over 10 times only to return soon after. In my mind Star is best known for his constant battles with DOS. DOS hated him, and he hated them. They were the creators of the nickname “Strfg” which Star attempted to make a jailable offense. Harassing staff I believed he called it. Star never reigned long at #1, but wanted everyone to know the first time he beat CYBERPUNK with the sig “You have defeated CYBERPUNK! Hahaha fear me!”
A7Xfan – A7X was a key to DOS’s success. All throughout his active time on CW he was ranked very highly, and was also a great killer. A7X was the first to level 1,000 and the first to pass CYBERPUNK for good. Along with being a great player, he was good within the community as well. He goes down as one of the most liked staff members of all time, creating the insult “maroon” along the way. A7X took over the 1 spot around April of 2006 and held it until Mike Tyndall took over the spot in the end of April. A7X stayed active and remained a key player in the top 5 for DOS in the hunt to take back the districts from Assembly Required.
Mike Tyndall – As mentioned in my post about the districts, Mike gained his power with his hacking skill. Mike was the first power leveler upon the removal of leveling restrictions, you could only hack players up to 100 levels below you. Once Mike gained ownership of AR, his focus shifted from getting himself to the top to getting the rest of his gang to the top. Mike contributed to my success as well as many others within the gang. Mike even created a gang membership program getting each player to 1 billion CDs. Mike was hardly ever heard from outside of AR, I only saw him in general chat twice. Originally Mike was thought of as a cheater, and I was banned for using ECs given to me from him. It was discovered it was in fact his hacking skill allowing him to do things and I was released. Lyn then talked to Mike and decided to lower his hacking skill from over 10,000 to 1000 I believe, with no compensation. Mike never complained about this, and it was that sort of respect and intelligence he showed the game that I respect the most about him. Mike held the #1 spot from the end of April till the end of August or early September of 2006 when he began to go inactive.
More to come…
