I'm going to apply for one reason...
If I'm CM there's not going to be any "walking the line" of rules just to not get muted. You start walking the line, I'd give one warning. If you keep walking the line, you get muted anyways. There will not be any special treatment, or any bending of the rules for certain players. Drama start-ups would mean mutings for any party involved, I wouldn't just sit by and watch it because "it's funny"... I'd actively try and get whatever problem was going on figured out, and take the appropriate action.
I don't care if you don't like me, I don't care who you are or who you -think- you are, if I am a CM then I'll be MUCH more strict with the rules and with the goings-on in Chat than others. I'm tired of seeing special treatments, and I'm tired of the blurring of the rules we have...
I understand that we have very openly-interpreted rules, and that each of the current CMs, Staff, and Admins have different viewpoints of how to interpret those rules, but from what I've seen there are not only double standards happening, but also too loose interpretations happening.
If I'm a CM, I'll be as strict as the Admins allow me, and I'll be even and fair across the board so that if one person does something and gets muted, someone else can't come along and do the same thing without being muted, as well. I'll also try and make sure that problems are solved before muting becomes an option, unless it is an insta-mute-requiring situation, so that someone who is having bug trouble, or F5-fixable trouble, can be distinguished from an actual spammer; and so that drama disputes can be stopped before they get out of hand.
Honestly, I pretty much know that people are going to vote for their friends, or someone who will give them a break in Chat, or even someone who just wants the job because they want the orange coat. I'm just a runner who is laying it all out on the table and saying what I'm going to do.

The Drama start-ups is a big part in keeping chat interesting, I can understand muting them if name calling starts up *looks at myck* but let drama happen in chat, it cyber-wars not cyber-holdhandsandgetalonganddrinkteaandplaydressup
Like I said later in that post, if it turns into something that starts to break rules I'll settle it.
