In reply to all the comment about improving the game play & advertising Cyber-Wars. You all tend to forget the role that should be played by gangs & gang leaders. We still have a steady influx of players signing up. Are response should be to help keep them here playing & active with the right type of help/support. EVO is showing this can be done, now the most active gang regularly showing 50% of players online, willing to give the right/good support & encouragement for new players. We also need more gangs & a competitive incentive to enroll new players, you don't find many active player who haven't joined a gang. Limiting one top 10 player per gang would generate 5 new gangs, top 20 generates 12 new gangs, it might not be a popular way to go, but it would shake things up a bit. Oh & can we have bigger gang wars again.

I like this idea, it could add a new dimension to the game and increase competition.

Going by that logic, what happens when a person or maybe 2 people break into the top 10 at the same time from the same gang, what then ? They automatically get kicked for playing the game ?

No, I do not like this idea myself.

As i said one top 10 player per gang might not be popular, it was one way to show where we could create gangs, they are the most experienced/active players we have to start gangs. The post was mainly questioning where is the support & encouragement for new players highlighting the lack of competitive incentive to enroll new players. Admin is improving the coding, game play & advertising Cyber-Wars what have newbies to look forward to when they get here. Could we give gangs/gang members a reward for every 10 recruits. The old gang gang war tactics have gone there is no competition any more it's just to get bonus stats, we might a well have different level Bot Gangs instead.

Before you can talk about giving incentives to new players and such, you need to have the site flow increasing. Not just the same 50% of one gang on. No disrespect intended. We have to bring people to us now. Text based games are losing much popularity these days with all the new things available. So you have 2 options: Enhance CW into the new things, Or flash it up as much as you can but keeping the same ideas. My input on the matter is actually pretty simple. I believe Andi actually started working on this before. Make CW a more realistic hacking experience. Real stuff not click here to attack. Actually performing simple hacks. And also revamping the layout to more of a DOS feel. I think that would attract more people because many people are into hacking but find this game misleading in that department.
